End of March and Ali's Visit

It's been a long long time since I've written about what I've been up to but here's my attempt at catching up on an entire month.

Cool things I've done:

• On March 30th- I went and saw a Soulection show. It's a private label out of LA and what the label stands for is incredible. They're bringing music beyond the limitations of "genre" and supporting an atmosphere of R&B, Hip Hop, Electronic, and House. There are some pretty famous producers on the label and they're focusing on developing the label by bringing on a really cool international crew. I went by myself to the show and it was really fun, I enjoyed a Royal Beer and just danced in the crowd.
• I hit up some coffee shops while writing my synopsis and preparing for oral exams. 
• A new food market started on Saturdays and Sundays in the meat packing district. I went with Teresa, Rachel, and Maddie and we had a really great time listening to live music and messing around. The weather was incredible (very few of those days) and it was great. I got pretty tipsy off a great mix of beer and aperol spritz.
• I hit up an awesome sandwich spot with Shane and Teresa. Apparently it was legendary and I enjoyed this Mexican sandwich and it was pretty incredible. 
• Ali came to town on April 6th!! It was such a great time showing her around the city. We had the best thursday: picked her up from the airport, iced her, enjoyed champagne gummy bears, cooked them dinner, and then went to Enzo/Hive, bought into our friend's table and had a night filled with a lot of Ls but it was so much fun. (TBT Ali wore my jacket home, thought I lost my jacket that contained my entire life, slept in katie's bed because we were locked out, turns out Ali was wearing my jacket). We showed Ali the classic stuff in Copenhagen, along with getting brunch at Union Kitchen, going to Tivoli (I got so sick on those rides), walking through a cemetery with a ton of cherry blossoms and hitting up a second hand market. We also hit up Paper Island twice. I think Ali had a really great time, although she left without finding her leather jacket but I think we thoroughly good time and how we get down in Copenhagen
